This is a wonderful poem by George Gordon Byron, inspired by a woman named Annabella Milbanke. This quote is from the poem: The couple in this poem were in love and there was a firefly in the woods and in the poem she compares him to a firefly because he was so small and she thought he was so unimportant. But when we heard this we we thought we should google it and find out more about the poem and learn that the fireflies were real and they would light up in the night. This quote shows that meeting someone you know is just like something that you would see when you go to the forest at night when it is dark, but when you meet someone new you just don't know what will happen. It can be anything from them being nice and kind to them not liking you at all. But like the fireflies, when you meet someone new you don't know what will happen but if you keep meeting them they can make your life better. That's why we we think this quote is really good because it gives us hope that although things can be bad at first, they can get better if you keep trying.
